There’s a stranger inside that’s just waiting to be acknowledged.  As a little girl you and your stranger were very well acquainted.  Your parents indulged you while you played with your invisible friend.  As time progressed, it became unpopular to converse with your imaginary friend so over the years she has become completely silent.

She’s still there boomer woman waiting to reunite with you and help you tap into your creativity again to unleash the woman you’ve been hiding for so long.

Reconnecting as a boomer woman may feel a little uncomfortable at first.  See your imaginary friend as a bridge to unfolding who you really are as you tap into your intuition.

Day 11 of 45 Day Challenge: Are You Trying OR Are You Doing?

j0439328Life is not about trying; it’s about doing.  Just for today instead of saying “I’ll try say I’ll do” and notice the difference.  The word ‘try’ often leads down the primrose path of failure, unhappiness and little or no joy and nothing gets done.

Having an “I’ll do” attitude opens the channels for allowing opportunities to happen.  Obstacles and challenges become opportunities because you see them differently.  Instead of looking at what’s missing begin to see the possibilities.

Seeing possibilities helps you tap into your intuition.  Following your intuition is much like a river; it just flows.  When you stop trying, and start doing your life begins to flow easily and effortlessly.   This doesn’t mean that you will not have some bumps, curves, hills and valleys.  It does mean that nothing is too big for you to handle.

Day 11 What are you trying to do today?  Take a step back and see yourself doing and allowing instead of trying.

Part III

Now that we’ve talked about the heart, let’s not forget about the head.  You are born with both the head and heart. Your task is to live your best life and be in harmony with your head and heart. The poet Rumi wisely said, “Live completely in the head and you cannot feel the breath and rhythm of life. Live completely in the heart and you may find yourself acting like a love-struck fool with poor judgment and discipline. It’s all a fine balance – the head and heart must forge a lifetime partnership if one wants to live a beautiful life.”

Listen to your intuition. Humans have a sixth sense that is uncanny in delivering mysterious and spontaneous reaction on things. Your authentic self communicates with you and guides you through intuition. Intuition gives gentle nudges that urge you to act and follow a certain path. Your role then is to pay attention.

It’s important to remember, it is your life and you get to choose.  It doesn’t mean that you ignore what others say.  Listen to them and then make your own decisions based on your authentic self.

Each person who wants to create a life of fullness and joy must define what they want and how it looks.  Your life can shine as brightly as you desire.  Listen to your intuition and follow your heart’s desire.

You’re at a time in your life when you get to create the life you desire and deserve.  Decide what you want and go for it.  You will never go wrong.

What will  you do today that supports you on creating the life you desire and deserve?

What will you do today that engages your heart, mind, spirit and intuition?

It’s entirely up to you!

Part II

You’re no longer the person in charge or the go to person in your workplace; so the challenge now becomes, who am I really? It’s okay to be undecided about what you want out of life or who you’re becoming.  There are many ways of unleashing your authentic self and allowing your passion and purpose to unfold.

Looking deep into you heart is one of the primary steps for allowing your passion and purpose to surface.  This might be difficult for you if you are a logical person who lives by what you think you should be or by what others like you to be. The allowing process is the perfect time to listen to your heart. Your heart’s desire comes from the soft inner voice of your authentic self; the real you.

Listening to your heart allows you to hear your authentic self. You know it’s your heart talking because it feels right. Your heart’s desire is usually what you love to do.  This represents your passion. Doing things with passion and purpose is fun and is accomplished easily and effortlessly.

You’re infused with joy as you do things that are your passion.  This doesn’t mean that you want have difficulties, curves, detours and obstacles.  These “hiccups” make it more challenging, but don’t be stopped by them.  There may be barriers to try and prevent you from reaching your goal.  Think of this as a test because your heart’s desire will find ways to overcome these barriers.   Remember this: the universe supports people who are embracing their passion and those who are following their destiny.

How does it feel to live passionately?

What Do You Want For The Rest Of Your Life?

Part I

Working with a client on creating a new normal, and a different lifestyle at 55, I thought about how often we get lost in the quagmire of life and never LIVE.  Now is the time to create the life you’ve longed for.

Now that you’re over 50, what do you really want in life?

Too often people don’t discover what they want in life until it’s time to die – this doesn’t have to be you!

Have you spent the best years of your life sitting on the couch or doing things you thought would make someone else happy?  It has been said that “Most people die at twenty and are buried at eighty.” Are you one of the living dead?

What do you really want in life now and how will you know when you have it?

Does this question cause you internal struggle?  Many are unsure of what they want or what their goals are in life.  They vacillate back and forth in their decision, hardly thinking about what they really want.  Not having definite goals allows time to slip by unnoticed.  Are you one of these people?
