Choose your apple boomer woman

Remember learning in elementary school about Newton and the apple?  This was a clear example of the Law of Gravity.  You’ve always remembered this simple illustration and without much forethought know that “what ever goes up must come down”.  You unquestionably believe that the earth has a sphere of gravity that holds and pulls everything to it.

Now let’s take this one step further.  What if the Law of Attraction is just a variation of the Law of Gravity?  Using Newton’s example, the apple for the Law of Attraction is your thoughts, whatever you focus on, where you put your attention and intention.  This apple is your dreams, hopes and desires.  Have you experienced times in your life when you unwittingly created something you wanted simply because you thought about it and put your intention and attention to it?

Now boomer woman imagine your lifestyle as the perfect, red luscious apple.  You’re in front of a basket of apples and you get to choose the perfect apple for yourself.  You pick them up one by one until you find your perfect, red luscious apple.  You examine this apple closely as you focus your full attention on it.  Now that you’ve selected your perfect apple, slowly take a bite out of it.  Just one!

Chew slowly and savor the taste, feel the texture, the sweetness and tartness compliment each other, the juice runs down the side of your mouth onto your hand.  Aaahhh boomer woman you feel as though you want this to last forever!

Boomer woman you’ve just experienced the secret of creating the lifestyle you dream about!  And it can last forever.  Just as you carefully chose your apple, you can design your lifestyle to be exactly as you desire.  Each time you think about your lifestyle, ask “is this my apple”.  Pay attention to the answer and then act.

What is your apple boomer woman and how will you choose it?

Boomer women climb the mountain of your dreams

Once while in Seattle I had the pleasure of driving up Mt. Rainer.  While driving, I looked to the left and saw the snow-covered mountain with what appeared to be a halo hovering over it.  I knew it was a cloud but the thought of a halo kept coming to mind.  I was totally overawed by the sight.  I continued to drive along straight stretches of road and then hairpin turns.  Boy was this exciting for this Florida girl!

For boomer women creating your dream life is similar to climbing the mountain. Sometimes it seems that ALL is going your way, that you are under a halo and then, suddenly, a hairpin turn!  You ask yourself “what did I do to deserve this turn, this derailment, and this removal of the halo?”  As a boomer woman you regroup, learn from the experience and continue your climb, continue going for your dream.

Your goal is to climb your mountain, to create the life you dream about and as you continue to climb, the climb becomes steeper, and the less you see the halo the closer you are to your dream life.  It doesn’t mean that the halo is not there; it simply means that it is no longer visible to you or is it just and illusion?

How much do you want your dream life?  Boomer women realize the halo is an illusion and that by letting go of the illusion you are now in total control of creating and manifesting the life of your dreams.

Be willing to see your truth

We’ve lived long enough as boomers to have so many filters in place that we can ‘color’ incoming information to fit whatever situation we’re in.  We filter with our fears, anxieties and desires.  To deal effectively with the changes we desire in creating our dream life and our environment boomer women must acknowledge their truth.  When boomers understand their truth their response is more appropriate.

Has anyone ever said to you “I’m just the messenger” or “don’t shoot the messenger”?  People around you recognize when you avoid seeing and hearing your truth.

Seek out true information concerning who you are and who you’re becoming.  There is a reservoir of truth inside each of us lying dormant.  It is just waiting to be tapped into to unleash your truth and your essence.  When boomer women who are aligned with their essence allow their true authentic self to show up, they become unstoppable.  They become fearless in their pursuit of having the life they desire, enjoying life and feeling fulfilled.

Stepping into you authentic power allows you hear your truth while listening to your inside influence.  Inside influence is your intuition guiding you to make decisions based on your truth.  This is also your feedback system allowing and helping you to correct your course when necessary.

Imagine the freedom you will have as a boomer woman by removing the filters and recognizing your truth.

Glance at the negatives: Focus on the positives

It seems that no matter where we are on life’s journey, we encounter negatives that if focused on will totally derail us.  Glance at the negative, be aware of it, notice how it makes you feel then regroup and focus on the positive.  Your life is yours to design, create, live and love.  For boomer women choosing to change their life and create something different, a chance remark from a well meaning child, friend or spouse can be a negative.

Do not allow yourself to dwell too much on the remark because it takes away the positive energy necessary to continue on your journey.  Glance at the remark, note it and move forward.  Boomer women often spend too much time rehashing the remark because it came from a love one.  Remember the love one only sees with her eyes and cannot possibly know what or how you feel, think or your desires.   You’ve already expressed to your love ones your goals; it doesn’t matter.

When people see you beginning to change right before their eyes, they wonder “where do I fit into this?”  Reassure them that your new life does not change your love for them in fact you can now love them more!  You can love them more because being a boomer woman engaged in your very own life creation love just emanates from you because you’ve found freedom.

New Roles Require New Self-Image

As boomer women change their thoughts, attitudes and behaviors it’s of utmost importance that boomer women change their self-image.  If you’ve seen yourself as the worker, wife, mother, divorcee, widow, grandmother and all of the other roles boomer women take on, your new idea of self may not be congruent with those roles.

Even though you’ve dreamed about, visualized about and now are stepping into the new desired future that you’re creating, the small loud voice keeps saying “What in the world is an unworthy person like me doing with a life like this?”   As long as boomer women look toward their goals, they stay on track.  It is not uncommon when boomer women reach their goal or see their goals materializing; fear sets in as doubt.

Boomers act boldly while creating their dream life then once they start to live it they begin to ask “is this all there is?”  Life can become fearful and it seems that you now have no where else to go.  This is the most wonderful time to seize the opportunity to regain control and set new goals by thinking “what else can I do, what else do I want, and what else do I want in my life?”
