45 Day Challenge: Day 5-Play A Bigger Game

Are you ready to ‘play a bigger game?’  If you’re ready to play then you’re ready to be honest with yourself; you’re ready for your values, beliefs and actions to be congruent.

As boomer women we are driven by so many old beliefs.  Do you sometimes wonder, “Why did I do that?”  We spend hours beating ourselves up because this doesn’t feel good and we KNOW that we are not being honest.  Now is the time to stop the beating and start putting the pieces together.  The pieces are much like a puzzle and each fits snugly in the right place.

j0439356Think of a time when you put a puzzle together.  I’ll bet you started with the outside pieces first!  You moved from outside in.  You will start the exact same way; your outside is your behavior.  Your behavior is driven by your belief system.  Examine your beliefs and values to determine if they support who you are now.  Whenever your beliefs and behaviors are incongruent; you know you’re not being honest.

Day 5  Practice honesty in ALL situations; even when it doesn’t feel good!

What Do You Want For The Rest Of Your Life?

Part I

Working with a client on creating a new normal, and a different lifestyle at 55, I thought about how often we get lost in the quagmire of life and never LIVE.  Now is the time to create the life you’ve longed for.

Now that you’re over 50, what do you really want in life?

Too often people don’t discover what they want in life until it’s time to die – this doesn’t have to be you!

Have you spent the best years of your life sitting on the couch or doing things you thought would make someone else happy?  It has been said that “Most people die at twenty and are buried at eighty.” Are you one of the living dead?

What do you really want in life now and how will you know when you have it?

Does this question cause you internal struggle?  Many are unsure of what they want or what their goals are in life.  They vacillate back and forth in their decision, hardly thinking about what they really want.  Not having definite goals allows time to slip by unnoticed.  Are you one of these people?
