It’s time to spring clean your mind boomer women!
Filed under: Boomer Women, Lifestyle, Lifestyle Transitions
Boomer women are you looking into your closets and around your house with a feeling of “it’s time to get rid of or do something”. This usually happens as it gets closer to spring. This feeling of restlessness can cause you to do full clean out or wait until the feeling passes.
This is also a great time boomer women to not only looking at your physical surroundings but your mental as well. Looking at your mental can cause you to reevaluate, reframe and rethink your core values. This introspection can be very uncomfortable because you can discover some places where you’re out of alignment. Once you’ve made that discovery and now that it is at the forefront of your mind, you have some choices. You get to choose to make some changes or ignore your discovery.
Boomer women you may discover that making changes with only you in mind is not easy. You’ve practiced being unselfish for so very long! You’ve agreed with and bought into the ‘culture’ that “it’s better to give than to receive”. So you’ve given and given until you now realize that you’re out of alignment and giving at this time is hurting you.
Let your family know that you will be making some changes in your life and how you do things. Ask for their support in your changes and begin!
Be gentle with yourself, start slowly, and give yourself permission to make one small change.
The change can be as simple as saying no to babysitting the grandchildren. Of course this can cause a HUGH ruckus if you allow it. Remember, your love ones have never seen you this way. They get to choose to be accepting of your changes or not.
You are not responsible for their feelings. Nor are they responsible for yours.
This is your gift to you!
